Academic Achievement Awards

  • A Honor Roll: If the student obtains all A’s in each course for a nine-week grading period, he will earn a place on the A Honor Roll.
  • A/B Honor Roll: If a student achieves a grade point average of 3.50 or above with only A/B grades, he will earn a place on the A/B Honor Roll.
  • Honor Roll: If a student achieves a grade point average of 3.00 or above with no grade below a B, he will earn a place on the Honor Roll.

High School Course Offerings

Glenbrook School offers a wide range of academic courses aligned with the TOPS University Diploma requirements for students planning to attend a 4-year university in Louisiana. Students follow a 7-period schedule and must meet GPA and ACT requirements for TOPS eligibility. Required courses are marked in red on official documentation.

  • English: English I, English II, *English III, *English IV
  • Social Studies: American Government, World Geography, *US History, Western Civilization or 4th Social Studies
  • Math: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, PreCalculus, Algebra III, Calculus
  • Science: Biology, Physical Science, *Chemistry, *Biology II
  • Foreign Language: Spanish I, Spanish II
  • Fine Arts: Fine Arts Survey, Digital Photography
  • Health/PE: Physical Education, Health

Current Dual Enrollment Offerings

Glenbrook School offers a variety of Dual Enrollment (DE) courses through partnerships with LSU, Louisiana Tech University, Northwestern State University, and Bossier Parish Community College. These are true college-level courses that earn credit on both high school and college transcripts. Students must meet eligibility requirements and are responsible for tuition and applicable fees.

  • BPCC: English III Honors – ENGL 101 & 102
    English IV Honors – ENGL 201 & 202
  • NSU: Biology II Honors – Anatomy & Physiology 2250 & 2251
  • Louisiana Tech: Chemistry Honors – CHEM 120
  • LSU (Math):
    • Algebra II Honors – Math 1021
    • PreCalculus Honors – Math 1021 (Fall) & 1022 (Spring)
    • Algebra III – Math 1100 (Fall) & 1029 (Spring)

* Students must meet GPA, standardized test benchmarks, and/or receive counselor recommendation to enroll. All DE courses appear on both high school and college transcripts. Additional online DE courses may be available with approval from Mrs. Scroggs.

Students may begin taking Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment (DE) courses as early as their sophomore year. A motivated student can graduate with up to 34 college credit hours through Dual Enrollment and 15 credit hours through AP coursework.
