“Glenbrook gave me an opportunity to learn in a safe, comfortable environment with small classes, to be taught by teachers who cared about my mental and emotional well-being, and to be surrounded with families who wanted their kids to excel in academics and athletics. Because of the education I received at Glenbrook, I felt well-prepared for college. My years at Glenbrook will always be remembered as a time of growth mentally and physically, and I feel blessed to have been a part of the Glenbrook family. Go Apaches!” – Chris Walker
“Attending Glenbrook provided me with a wonderful education as well as with great friendships that have continued for years. The teachers were constantly striving to make me a better student and a better person. They never let me settle for less than what I was capable of achieving. The years I spent at Glenbrook made me the responsible adult I am today.” – Julie Vogel
“The classes Glenbrook provided afforded the teachers the ability to make sure students fully understood what was being taught. This approach to education laid the groundwork for me to be successful in college, in graduate school, and in my career. I would not trade my time at Glenbrook for anything. Almost fifteen years later, I still think fondly of my time spent at Glenbrook.” – T. C. Bloxom
“I am proud to be a Glenbrook alumnus because I know that I received a good education. In fact, I didn’t learn anything new my first year in engineering school at Louisiana Tech because I was so well prepared. Moreover, attending Glenbrook was also a lot of fun—I have so many happy memories! I was able to become really close with all of my Glenbrook classmates, and I am still close with many of them—lifelong friends!” – Jessica Tucker
“When I came from Cotton Valley in 1976, my family and I were quickly made to feel a part of a close and connected Glenbrook family. My years were filled with good times; teachers, coaches, mentors, and friends provided me with a life-changing experience that I will never forget.” – Gary Hollingsworth
“I first became a part of the Glenbrook school in the fourth grade, continuing there until I graduated in 1984. Glenbrook School was such an integral part of my life. Being there certainly played a role in who I am today. It was both exciting and surreal to enroll my kids in Glenbrook several years ago!
“I loved being a part of the Glenbrook family for many reasons. It was small enough to give me a feeling of safety and self-confidence; however, it provided enough extra-curricular activities to keep me very busy and involved. I was able to participate in basketball, softball, track, and cheerleading. I was fortunate to have excellent teachers like Wayne Orr and Madge Brice, both of whom challenged me to excel and who were always available if I needed help. Students did not get lost in the shuffle at Glenbrook—academically, athletically, or socially.
“I am thankful for my years at Glenbrook and am thankful that it is still a viable educational opportunity for my kids today.” – Amy C. Mealey
